This autoclave masking tape has a premium grade saturated crepe paper printed with color change ink for steam sterilization. The natural rubber adhesive is compounded for high temperature application. Good adhesion to both non-woven and muslin fabric. Backing: Natural color 4.2 mil. crepe paper. Adhesive: Natural rubber. Total thickness: 6.2 mil +/-0.5 mil. Initial adhesion to SST: 32 oz/in. 7 day adhesion at full humidity is 100%, with indicator not affected. Unwind force-no splitting or ink transfer: 15-20 oz/in. Sterilization tests: Autoclave test @ 250 deg F: 10 to 30 minutes. Autoclave test @ 272 deg F: 20 minutes. Color change after sterilization: Opaque gray to black. |

2.5 mil Clear polyester film coated with a pre-cured silicone pressure sensitive adhesive. Designed to be fully stable electrically and mechanically at operating temperatures up to 385 deg F. The film is clear, the adhesive is cured to provide maximum resistance to chemicals and leaves no residue during masking or holding applications. Tape thickness: 2.5 mils.
